Bridgett Phillips, San Marcos, addressed the Council regarding the Safe Passing Ordinance and <br />asked that the Council vote in favor of it. She also represented Sustainable San Marcos and <br />provided their support for this ordinance. She also addressed the upcoming the appointments <br />and asked for diversity on P &Z <br />Rob Roark, San Marcos, thanked the Staff of the Planning Department and knows that they have <br />taken a lot of hits recently. He addressed the planning numbers that were recently provided in <br />their report to P &Z as an example of just how much business they have been conducting. He <br />also addressed the SMTX Talks event and praised how well the event went. He further spoke <br />about future development. Are we going to be proactive or reactive to development? This is the <br />perfect time to make those determinations. Let's use this as dialog and put those matrices <br />together now. <br />Consent Agenda <br />8. Consider approval of the January 21, 2014 Regular City Council Meeting Minutes <br />9. Consider approval of Ordinance 2014 -04, on the second of two readings, amending <br />Section 2.111 of the San Marcos City Code to change the composition of the <br />Neighborhood Commission from 13 members to 10 members and 3 alternate voting <br />members; including procedural provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />lO.Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -09R, approving a Master Equity Lease <br />Agreement with Enterprise FM Trust and a Maintenance Agreement with Enterprise <br />Fleet Management, Inc. to provide for the lease and maintenance of vehicles for use by <br />the San Marcos Police Department; authorizing the City Manager to execute the <br />agreements; and declaring an effective date. <br />11.Consider approval of Resolution 2014-1 OR, renewing the lease agreement with the Hays <br />County Women's Center, Inc., doing business as the Hays- Caldwell Women's Center, <br />for an additional term of 30 years; authorizing the City Manager to execute an <br />addendum to the lease agreement for such purpose on behalf of the City; and, declaring <br />an effective date. <br />12.Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -11R, approving the purchase of two 2014 <br />Chevrolet Tahoes (PPV) for the Fire Department in the total amount of $65,784.00 from <br />Caldwell Country Chevrolet through the Texas Local Government Purchasing <br />Cooperative Buyboard contract for vehicles, heavy duty trucks and options (Contract <br />#430 -13); authorizing the Purchasing Manager to execute the appropriate purchasing <br />documents on behalf of the City and declaring an effective date. <br />13.Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -12R, finding three used Panasonic Toughbook <br />Computers once utilized by the City of San Marcos Fire Department to be surplus and <br />of no value; authorizing the Fire Department to donate these computers to the City of <br />Kyle Fire Department and declaring an effective date. <br />
