> Based Aircraft.
> Vehicular Traffic
Forecasts of aircraft mix will be prepared for noise analysis.
Task 3 - Review and Update Facility Requirements
It will be necessary to re-validate facility requirements to
satisfy short, intermediate, and long-range aviation needs. It is
prudent to establish basic facility requirements early in the planning
process, and work performed in th i s ta s k will be based upon the
activity and traffic forecasts developed in Task 2. This will produce
a basic facil ity development program in terms of space required,
functional considerations, movement of aircraft, airspace and
operations considerations such as runways required, levels of aircraft
activity, etc.
The faci 1 ity requirements will be identified for airport
purposes only and wi 11 not include any assessment of facil ity
requirements for other purposes, i . e., municipal functions or
commerical development unrelated to aviation.
Upon completion of this task, the generalized requirements
for ultimate airport development will be known.
Task 4 - Analysis of Constraints to Airport Development
This task will consist of examination of major constraints
to airport development and wi 11 be used to define basic airport
development parameters. Emphasis will be placed upon integration of
airport development into local comprehensive planning. The study
effort will be limited to the area in the immediate vicinity of the
airport and will include studies of the following:
> The identification of areas of probable imcompatible
land use on the airport, both current and anticipated.
> Physical constraints resulting from non-aviation act-
ivities currently or planned to operate on the airport
and limitations imposed by inadequate or nonexistent
utilities, drainage, etc.
> Ope rat i'ona 1 constraints such as the potential effects
of noise, obstructions, airspace limitations, expansion
limitations, etc.
> Legislative, jurisdictional, and regulatory constraints
which may affect the extent to which the airport may be
developed.
