Both parties agree that property ownership issues including <br />obtaining nghts of entry for survey crews to complete topographic surveys will be accomplished <br />by the City's consultant. <br /> <br />1.2.6 Perform field surveys to detennine topography extendmg for 50 feet on each side of the <br />fenced roadway. In addItIOn, the Engineer wIll also pick up locations of fences, any visible <br />property boundary monuments and significant trees. If the County has established survey control <br />m Oakndge, the Engineer will tie its survey work to that control. <br /> <br />1.2.7 Document the results of the Preliminary Design in a technical memorandum to include a <br />probable construction cost estimate. The Engmeer will submit three copies of the technical <br />memorandum to the City for review and approval. The Engineer will revise the technical <br />memorandum to reflect City comments and then issue two copIes of a final technical <br />memorandum in Microsoft Word fonnat. <br /> <br />1.2.8 Meet with the CIty's ProJect Manager and other CIty staff throughout the Preliminary <br />Design phase, up to a maxImum of four meetings. <br /> <br />1.2.9 Head the Project team and coordmate the integratIOn of design, surveying, right of way <br />issues, traffic control, utility Engineenng, pennitting, and other services as previously approved. <br /> <br />1.3 TASK 2 - CONSTRUCTION PLAN PREP ARA TION <br /> <br />The Engmeer will: <br /> <br />1.3.1 Assist the City in the preparatIOn of construction contract documents using CIty fonns <br />based on the approved desIgn development documents and any further adjustments authorized by <br />the CIty in the scope, quality or budget of the ProJect. These contract documents will include <br />detailed plans and technical specifications reqUIred for the Project to be accurately bid and <br />efficiently constructed. <br /> <br />1.3.2 Use ItS best professional Judgment to create techmcal documents that comply WIth <br />applicable construction and development codes, local regulations and ordinances and other <br />federal and state regulations which are known or whIch should reasonably be known to the <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />1.3.3 Ensure that no reports, maps, or other documents produced m whole or m part under this <br />Agreement shall be the subject of an apphcatlOn for copynght by or on behalf of the Engineer. <br /> <br />1.3.4 Obtain approval from City mspectors of all technical plans and specifications necessary for <br />successful completion of the Project pnor to allowing the construction contract to be let for bid. <br /> <br />CEC - Quail Run Waterline Agreement <br /> <br />3 <br />
