<br /> 7 <br />Regular Meeting October 14, 1985 Page 7 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN <br /> (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, LOT l5l-A, <br /> BLOCK 25, WESTOVER ADDITION, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 145 THROUGH 156, AS <br /> SHOWN ON THE ~AP OR PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME <br /> 2, PAGE 160, PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br /> AND LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE 1000 BLOCK <br /> OF DARTMOUTH FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM <br /> DENSITY RESIDENTIAL AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Coddington. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and approv- <br />al of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as fol- <br />lows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1972-6 ADOPTED <br /> MARCH 13, 1972, WHICH GRANTED THE AUTHORITY, RIGHT <br /> AND PRIVILEGE TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A CITY-WIDE <br /> TELEVISION SIGNAL DISTRIBUTION SERVICE FOR THE DIS- <br /> TRIBUTION SERVICE OF AUDIO, VIDEO AND RADIO SIGNALS, <br /> BY ADDING PROVISIONS THAT PUT THIS FRANCHISE IN COM- <br /> PLIANCE WITH THE FEDERAL CABLE COMMUNICATIONS POLICY <br /> ACT OF 1984; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor of the Ordinance. Guy Trimble of Karnack stated he <br />was in favor of the Ordinance to put the franchise in compliance with <br />Federal Regulations of 1984. No one else wished to speak in favor or <br />in opposition to the Ordinance, so Mayor Craddock closed the public <br />hearing. Mr. Guerra moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and approv- <br />al of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as fol- <br />lows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1972-7 ADOPTED MARCH <br /> 13, 1972, AND AMENDED FEBRUARY 11, 1980, WHICH ESTABLISHED <br /> AND REGULATED VARIOUS FEES AND CHARGES FOR CABLE TELE- <br /> VISION SERVICE WITHIN SAID CITY, BY DELETING ALL REFER- <br /> ENCES TO RECONNECT ION CHARGE AND TRANSFER CHARGE; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in favor of the Ordinance.
