City Council Meeting Minutes July 1, 2014 <br />A motion was made by Council Member Prather, seconded by Council Member Scott, that this <br />Ordinance be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, <br />Council Member Scott, Council Member Prather and Council Member Prewitt <br />Against: 1 - Council Member Thomason <br />9. Consider approval of Ordinance 2014 -38, on the second of two readings, amending <br />the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning a 50.339 acre, more or less, tract of <br />land out of the William Ward Survey No. 3, Abstract No. 467, for a portion of <br />Yarrington Commons, located near the 2700 block of Post Road at the Blanco River, <br />from "FD" Future Development District to "MF -24" Multiple - Family Residential District; <br />and including procedural provisions. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, seconded by Council Member Prather, that <br />this Ordinance be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Council Member Scott, Council Member Prather and Council Member Prewitt <br />Against: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak <br />10. Consider approval of Ordinance 2014 -39, on the second of two readings, amending <br />the Electric Utility Line Extension Policy to require customers to pay all costs of line <br />extensions above $1,500; amending Chapter 86, Article 4 of the San Marcos City <br />Code to provide for the Pro Rata Reimbursement of the cost of electric line extensions <br />to qualifying parties; providing for publication; and providing an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, seconded by Council Member Prewitt, that <br />this Ordinance be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, <br />Council Member Thomason, Council Member Scott, Council Member Prather and <br />Council Member Prewitt <br />Against: 0 <br />11. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -94R approving the appointment of Jacqueline <br />Cullom to the position of Assistant City Attorney, and declaring an effective date. <br />12. Consider <br />approval of Resolution 2014 -95R approving terms and conditions of an <br />Interlocal <br />Cooperation Agreement with the City of Austin, the Austin Independent <br />School District, the City of Georgetown, Hays County, the City of Pflugerville, the City <br />of Round <br />Rock, Travis County, the University of Texas and Williamson County for the <br />Austin Regional <br />Intelligence Center; ratifying the Police Chief's signature of this <br />Interlocal <br />Cooperation Agreement; approving Amendment Number One to the <br />Interlocal <br />Cooperation Agreement for the Austin Regional Intelligence Center; <br />approving <br />Amendment Number One to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for <br />Sustainment Funding for the Austin Regional Intelligence Center; authorizing the City <br />Manager <br />or his designee to execute both amendments; and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />13. Consider <br />approval of Resolution 2014 -96R approving an Affordable/Workforce <br />City of San Marcos <br />Page 4 <br />
