City Council Meeting Minutes August 5, 2014 <br />July 15, 2014 Regular Meeting <br />July 17, 2014 Budget Workshop <br />July 24, 2014 Budget Workshop <br />6. Consider approval of Ordinance 2014 -42, on the second of two readings, amending <br />the City's 2013 -2014 budget to authorize the expenditure of funds in the amount of <br />$40,000 for expenses related to the Senior Center Expansion Project; providing for <br />the repeal of any conflicting provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />7. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -105R approving the purchase of five Outdoor <br />Circuit Breakers for the Public Services Department - Electric Utilities Division in the <br />total amount of $152,692.00 from Wesco Distribution, Inc. through the Texas Local <br />Government Purchasing Cooperative Buyboard Contract for Building Maintenance, <br />Repair, Operations, Supplies and Equipment (Contract #415 -12); authorizing the City <br />Manager or his designee to execute the appropriate purchasing documents on behalf <br />of the City; and declaring an effective date. <br />8. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -106R approving a Contract Prosecutor <br />Agreement with Mr. Douglas Montgomery for Professional Legal Services in the San <br />Marcos Municipal Court of Record at the rate of $60.00 per hour; authorizing the City <br />Attorney to execute the agreement; and declaring an effective date. <br />9. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -107R adopting Guiding Principles for the City's <br />Legislative Action Program for the 84th session of the Texas Legislature in 2015. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Scott, seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, that this <br />Resolution be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, <br />Council Member Thomason, Council Member Scott, Council Member Prather and <br />Council Member Prewitt <br />Against: 0 <br />10. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -108R approving a Memorandum of <br />Understanding between the City of San Marcos, the Edwards Aquifer Authority, and <br />Texas State University regarding funding for the expansion of the City's Reclaimed <br />Water System; and declaring an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, seconded by Council Member Scott, that <br />this Resolution be postponed to the September 16, 2014 Regular City Council Meeting. The <br />motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 4 - Mayor Guerrero, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, Council Member Thomason and <br />Council Member Scott <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 3 - Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Council Member Prather and Council Member Prewitt <br />ON- CONSENT AGENDA <br />11.
