The Council removed Item 12, adoption of Resolution, to be considered separately. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for approval of minutes of Regular Meeting held December 7, 2005, approval of minutes of Special Meeting held December 14, 2005, approval of minutes of Regular Meeting held December 14, 2005, adoption of remaining three Resolutions, and receive and consider approval of Quarterly Investment Report for quarter ending September 30, 2005, on consent, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of the Resolutions read as follows: Adoption of Resolutions: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF CYNTHIA KNOX AS ASSISTANT CITY CLERK FOR PURPOSES OF VITAL STATISTICS RECORDS ADMINISTRATION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AWARDING AN ANNUAL CONTRACT TO HUGHES SUPPLY FOR THE PURCHASE OF SINGLE PHASE ELECTRIC METERS FOR THE ELECTRIC UTILITY DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A TRANSMISSION SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE UPGRADE OF THE REDWOOD SUBSTATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 12, removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: RESOLUTION EXPRESSING OFFICIAL INTENT TO REIMBURSE FOR CERTAIN COSTS AND EXPENSES RELATED TO (I) PURCHASE OF GREEN SPACE LAND AND (II) PAYMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, INCLUDING LEGAL, FISCAL AND ENGINEERING FEES. Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of the Resolution, and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. Mr. Bose inquired as to the reimbursement. Mr. O'Leary stated this Resolution put the funding in place for earnest money for the Texas Nature Conservancy Agreement. He stated the General Fund will be reimbursed once the General Obligation Bonds are sold for the property purchase. He stated the closing date for the property is May 13, 112006. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution.
