The <br />captions read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR A 0.98 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND <br />LOCATED AT 1200 OLD MARTINDALE ROAD; AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br />OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "SF -6" SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT <br />TO NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM OPEN SPACE, <br />COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR A 113.333 ACRE, MORE OR <br />LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2500 - 2800 BLOCKS OF IH -35 SOUTH; <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT <br />FROM HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption of Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Thomaides moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerrero <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Taylor provided the Council with the overview of <br />the different Committees of the National League of Cities. Mr. Mihalkanin <br />moved to amend Part 1, to read, Susan Narvaiz to the Finance, <br />Administration, and Intergovernmental Relations Committee, John Thomaides <br />to the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Services Committee, Chris Jones <br />to the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Committee, and Daniel <br />Guerrero to the Human Development Committee, and Mr. Jones seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for <br />adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption of Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />DESIGNATING THE VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE <br />CITY AT THE ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES <br />TO BE HELD IN DECEMBER, 2006; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ANY <br />DOCUMENTS INCIDENT TO THE DESIGNATION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />
