<br />specIfication as directed by the City that do not involve an adjustment in the Contractor's <br />contract price nor time for construction and are not inconsistent with the Intent of the <br />construction contract documents. <br /> <br />1.7.26 Receive and review the Contractor's response to a request for change and obtain such <br />further information as is necessary to evaluate the basis for the Contractor's proposal. The <br />Engineer will assist the City in its negotiatIons of the proposal and, upon approval by the City, <br />prepare necessary final change order documents in triplicate originals for approval by the City <br />and execution in accordance with the construction contract documents. In addItIon the Engineer <br />wIll review all Contractor requested changes to the contract for construction and will make <br />recommendatIons to the City regarding the acceptabIlIty of the Contractor's request and, upon <br />approval of the City assist the City in negotiation of the requested change(s). The Engineer will <br />also provide periodic reports to the Owner about the status of Change Orders. The report will <br />include issued Change Orders, pending change orders, and change order amounts. The Engineer <br />will not issue change orders not preVIously approved in writing by City, and no course of <br />conduct on the part of Engineer or CIty will amend, waIve or alter this provisIon. <br /> <br />1.7.27 Review information submitted by the Contractor regarding the effect of proposed or <br />Issued Change Orders upon the construction schedule, duratIon and completion date and will <br />advise the City as to the potential impact of proposed or issued Change Orders. The Engineer <br />WIll assist the CIty in discussions with the Contractor concerning the potentIal impact of <br />proposed or issued Change Orders. <br /> <br />1.7.28 Conduct professional Inspections to determine the dates of substantial completion and <br />final completion for the Project, to evaluate the work for acceptable conformance with the <br />construction contract documents and In light of any subsequent tests performed as described in <br />Subsection 1.7.19 to verify that any minor devIatIons from the construction contract documents <br />as described in Subsection 17.19 have been corrected and that the reasons for any specific <br />qualifications in any and all previous certificates for payment as described in Subsection 1.7. 19 <br />hereof are eIther no longer valid or the condltlon(s) and/or problem(s) have been corrected; <br />receive and review wntten warranties and related documents required by the constructIon <br />contract documents and assembled by the Contractor. The Engineer will lssue final certIficates <br />for payment or take other appropriate actIon; and will make a written recommendation to the <br />City regarding CIty'S acceptance of the Project based upon the results of the final inspection. <br /> <br />1.7.29 Manage the health, safety and environmental activities of Its staff and the staff of its <br />subcontractors to achieve compliance with applicable health and safety laws and regulations and <br />will coordinate Its health, safety and environmental program with the responsibIlities for health, <br />safety and environmental compliance specIfied in the contract for construction. The EngIneer <br />will coordinate with responsible parties to correct conditions that do not meet applIcable federal, <br />state and local occupational safety and health laws and regulations, when such conditions expose <br />the City or the EngIneer or its subcontractors, to unsafe conditions and will notIfy affected <br />persolU1el of any site conditions observed by the EngIneer that may pose imminent danger. <br /> <br />1.7.30 Receive, log, and notify the CIty regarding all letters and notices from the Contractor <br /> <br />Wet Weather hnprovements Project CH2M Hill <br /> <br />12 <br />
