<br />concerning claims or disputes between the Contractor and CIty pertaining to the acceptabIlIty of <br />the work or the interpretation of the requirements of the contract for construction. The Engineer <br />will review all such letters and notices and will discuss them with the Contractor as necessary to <br />understand each such claim or dispute and will advise the City regardIng the Contractor's <br />complIance with the contract requirements for such claims and disputes. The EngIneer will assist <br />the CIty in discussions with the Contractor to resolve claims and dIsputes, but wIll not issue <br />written deCIsions on Contractor claims or dIsputes. <br /> <br />1.7.31 Assist the City in requinng the submIssion by the Contractor, and subcontractors <br />performing work on the Project site, of penodic wage rate payment reports and, assist the City in <br />venfying compliance wIth federal and state wage rate requirements for the Project; and notice <br />the CIty of any noncompliance, or of the failure by the Contractor or subcontractor's to make <br />submissions that the Engineer is or becomes aware of. <br /> <br />1.7.32 Conduct final inspection with the City and prepare up to two separate punch lIst of items <br />requinng completIon or correctIon pnor to final acceptance by the City. <br /> <br />1.7.33 Assist the CIty In Issuing documents for final completion and acceptance of the work and <br />will advise the CIty on final payment, release of retention, and release of insurance and bonds in <br />accordance with SubsectIon 1.7.28. <br /> <br />1.7.34 Coordinate with the Contractor for the submISSIon of required manuals provIded by <br />equipment suppliers for operation and maintenance and for training of the Owner's staff by the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />1.7.35 Coordinate with the Contractor for the submission of required warrantIes, guarantees, lien <br />releases and other similar documents as required by the construction contract and advIse the City <br />as to the acceptability and compliance of these documents with the construction contract. <br /> <br />1.7.36 Provide the City wIth an organized set of Project documents and records. <br /> <br />1.7.37 Revise the anginal desIgn draWIngs to reflect avaIlable record informatIon provided by <br />the Contractor and equIpment suppliers and prepare or cause to be prepared, and submIt to the <br />City one reproducible set and three hard copies of record drawings shOWIng significant changes <br />in the work. The Engineer WIll provide the CIty with two electronic sets of the record drawings <br />in dgn. and pdf. format. <br /> <br />1.7.38 CoordInate with the Contractor the training services of qualified representatIves from <br />equipment manufacturers relative to operation, maintenance and testing of the equipment <br />provided under this Pro] ect. <br /> <br />1.7.39 Prior to the end of the one year warranty period, participate in an end-of-warranty period <br />inspection to review the completed Project with the City and the Contractor and provide a letter <br />identifyIng any defiCIencies found and recommended actIons for the correction of deficient <br />items.
