<br />1.7.5 Assist the City in ensuring that all notices and signs required and provided by the City are <br />posted in the appropriate locatIons at the Project site by the Contractor. <br /> <br />1.7.6 Establish a system and set of procedures for managing, tracking and stonng all relevant <br />documents between the Contractor, the Engineer and CIty-produced during the Bid/Award, <br />Construction and Closeout phases of the project. The EngIneer will also utilize an appropnate <br />computer based document management system selected by the Engineer and approved by the <br />City. In the event the City requIres a specific system, the City wIll advise the Engineer In <br />advance and will compensate the Engineer for any additional costs incurred. The EngIneer will, <br />in coordInation with the City, maIntain hard copy records, suitably organized, of all relevant <br />documentation. All documentatIon prepared and submitted by the Engineer will be in pdf <br />format. The Engineer will implement procedures for the logging and tracking of all relevant <br />correspondence and documents and will assist the CIty In monitoring all outstandIng decisions, <br />approvals or responses required from the CIty. <br /> <br />1.7.7 Assist in coordinatIng City provided testIng, inspectIon and geotechnical services. The <br />Engineer will review the reports and other informatIon prepared by the independent firms and <br />prOVIded to the City. The EngIneer wIll assIst in coordInating the schedules of these independent <br />firms involved on the Project and the transmittal of their reports, findings or other informatIon to <br />the Contractor and/or the CIty. The EngIneer will not be responsible for the accuracy or <br />completeness of the work and reports of the independent testing, Inspection and geotechnIcal <br />firms. <br /> <br />1.7.8 Provide resident construction management/inspectIon servIces as described in subsections <br />1.7.6,1.7.9,1.7.10,1.7.11,1.7.12,1.7.13 and 1.7.17, through one Construction Manager ("eM") <br />one ReSIdent EngIneer ("RE") and one Administrative Assistant ("AA"). The CM will observe <br />the constructIon through weekly site visits, attend monthly coordinatIng meetings with the <br />Contractor and the CIty, will review Contractor-initiated Requests for InformatIon ("RFI") <br />submittals and will oversee RE activities. The RE will perform inspection servIces under the <br />general dIrectIon of the CM, will attend weekly meetIngs wIth the Contractor and WIll prepare <br />minutes of these meetIngs. The AA will assist the CM and RE in maintaining Project records. <br />The RE or the eM will attend the monthly coordination meetIngs, and will prepare minutes <br />documenting these meetings. The City and the Engineer assume that the duratIon of the <br />construction schedule will be 9 months. Dunng thIS 9 month constructIon period, it is assumed <br />that the followIng level of effort WIll be required; eM - 150/0 utilization, RE - 800/0 utilization, <br />AA - 200/0 utilization. <br /> <br />1.7.9 Make on-site inspectIons of the Project at least monthly to ensure familiarity with the <br />progress and qualIty of the work, to determIne if the work is proceeding In acceptable <br />conformance wIth the constructIon contract documents, and to review the work with the City's <br />designated representatives. On the basis of such on-site inspectIons by the Engineer, the <br />Engineer WIll keep the City informed of the progress and qualIty of the work through written <br />status reports and through meetings with the City's representative; and will also be reasonably <br />avaIlable to perform site visitations at the speCIfic request of the City by the next business day <br />after a request is made.
