Mr. Gonzalez stated the Bugg Lane area will <br />be uncontrollable, and the City will need to respond, and there <br />will be possible overtime to accomplish this. Since the City is <br />involved in this event, the City will need to address and pay for <br />the overtime if it is needed, which will be an additional demand <br />on the Police Department. Mayor Morris wants the City's police <br />off-duty fee reviewed to make them competitive, and Mr. Gonzalez <br />stated they compete for off-duty assignments with Smith Security <br />and the Hays County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Gonzalez stated <br />when other agencies are hired, the San Marcos Police Department <br />is still sometimes involved in getting them out of situations. <br />Staff is to bring to the Council recommendations for off-duty <br />pay for the Police Department. <br /> <br />Mr. Hernandez moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session pur- <br />suant to Article 6252-l7, §§2(e) and (g), V.A.C.S., to discuss <br />matters where the duties of the City Attorney to the City pursuant <br />to the Code of Professional Responsibility of the State Bar of <br />Texas clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17; duties of a public <br />officer or employee, respectively, and Mayor Morris seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously (10:25 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved the Council reconvene at 11:30 p.m. and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:31 p.m. on motion made by Ms. Kissler <br />and seconded by Mr. Guerra. <br /> <br />b~~. ~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
