Regular Meeting October 2, 2007 Page 10 <br />REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "LI" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "HC" HEAVY <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration of adoption of Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />DESIGNATING THE VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE <br />CITY AT THE ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES <br />TO BE HELD IN DECEMBER, 2007; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ANY <br />DOCUMENTS INCIDENT TO THE DESIGNATION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Jones seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Jones moved to amend the Resolution to read December, Mr. <br />Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerrero moved <br />to amend the Resolution to provide Chris Jones as the voting member, and <br />Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerrero <br />moved to amend the Resolution to provide Mayor Narvaiz as the voting <br />member, and Ms. Couch seconded the motion. On roll call for the amendment <br />the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Thomaides, Couch, Bose, Guerrero, Robertson and Jones. <br />NAY: none. <br />ABSTAIN: Narvaiz. <br />The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration of adoption of Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Jones seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Guerrero moved to amend the Resolution to nominate Mayor <br />Narvaiz to the Finance, Administration, and Intergovernmental Relations, <br />Ms. Couch seconded the motion. On roll call for the amendment the <br />following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Thomaides, Couch, Bose, Guerrero, Robertson and Jones. <br />NAY: none. <br />
