Regular Meeting October 2, 2007 Page 11 <br />ABSTAIN: Narvaiz. <br />Ms. Robertson moved to amend the Resolution to nominate Chris Jones to the <br />Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee, Ms. Robertson <br />to the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Standing Committee and Mr. <br />Thomaides to the University Communities Council Panel, and Ms. Couch <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption of Resolution, which <br />was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE HAYS COUNTY <br />APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Jones moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Jones moved to amend the Resolution to nominate Mr. Guerrero <br />to the Hays County Appraisal District Board of Directors, and Ms. Robertson <br />seconded the motion. On roll call for amendment of Resolution the <br />following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Thomaides, Couch, Bose, Narvaiz, Robertson and Jones. <br />NAY: none. <br />ABSTAIN: Guerrero. <br />On roll call for adoption of Resolution the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Thomaides, Couch, Bose, Narvaiz, Robertson and Jones. <br />NAY: none. <br />ABSTAIN: Guerrero. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of a Workshop for Board <br />and Commission nominations (proposed date is Wednesday, November 21, 2007 <br />at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room) and to set a Special Meeting <br />for Board and Commission appointments (proposed date is Tuesday, December <br />11, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.). Mr. Guerrero moved for approval of a Workshop for <br />Board and Commission nominations on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 6:00 <br />p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room and to set a Special Meeting for <br />Board and Commission appointments on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 6:00 <br />p.m., and Ms. Couch seconded the motion. Mr. Guerrero moved to amend the <br />Workshop for Board and Commission nominations to November 28, 2007 at 8:00 <br />
