36 Regular Meeting May 27, 1987 pag e 3 Mr. Farr opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning Ordinance amendments. Mr. Robbins advised the Zoning Commission has been working on these amendments for approximately one and one-half years and has held twenty public hearings. Mr. Robbins stated there are numerous and significant changes and that he recommends a Workshop be held to review the amendments. No one wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the amendments, so Mr. Farr closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordinance on Page 27 to add the word "provided" on the fourth line of PART 61, and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call of the amendment, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Guerra. ABSTAIN: None. On roll call for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, the fol- lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Guerra. ABSTAIN: None. The Council scheduled a Workshop to be held Friday, June 5,1987 at Noon to review thè Zoning Ordinance amendments. Mr. Farr introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13,1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING 78.23 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF THAT 79.l0 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO W. P. DONALSON, JR., BY W. P. DONALSON, SR., BY DEED DATED JANUARY 18,1956, AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 167, PAGE 87, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS: A/K/A 2503 HUNTER ROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT): AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- IVE DATE. Mr. Farr opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning request. Vic Heideman of San Marcos Valve was present to answer any questions of the Council. No one else wished to speak in favor cr in opposition, so Mr. Farr closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously (Mr. Brown not present to vote on this item).
