<br />36 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />May 27, 1987 <br /> <br />pag e 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Farr opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning Ordinance amendments. <br />Mr. Robbins advised the Zoning Commission has been working on these <br />amendments for approximately one and one-half years and has held <br />twenty public hearings. Mr. Robbins stated there are numerous <br />and significant changes and that he recommends a Workshop be held <br />to review the amendments. No one wished to speak in favor or in <br />opposition to the amendments, so Mr. Farr closed the public hearing. <br />Ms. Kissler moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. <br />Brown seconded the motion. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordinance <br />on Page 27 to add the word "provided" on the fourth line of PART 61, <br />and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call of the amendment, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Brown, Farr, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Guerra. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />On roll call for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, the fol- <br />lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Brown, Farr, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Guerra. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />The Council scheduled a Workshop to be held Friday, June 5,1987 at <br />Noon to review thè Zoning Ordinance amendments. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of <br />a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF <br />BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13,1984 <br />(VOL. 66) BY ZONING 78.23 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE <br />J. Vic Heideman <br />of San Marcos Valve was present to answer any questions of the Council. <br />No one else wished to speak in favor cr in opposition, so Mr. Farr <br />closed the public hearing.
