<br />125 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />July 13,1987 <br /> <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING A 1.2 ACRE <br />EASEMENT AND BEING THAT EASEMENT WHICH ABUTS AND IS <br />LOCATED IN LOTS 14,19 AND 23 OF THE RIVER RIDGE SUB- <br />DIVISION OF 146.57 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, IN THE <br />J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO.2, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO <br />EXECUTE SPECIAL WARRANTY DEEDS; REFLECTING FAIR EX- <br />CHANGE OF PROPERTY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion. During discussion Mayor Younger and Mr. <br />Guerra expressed concern for the Hernandez family and Tim Dorsett <br />access problems and the Council requested this be resolved as soon <br />as possible. Mr. Robbins advised the Council this abandonment is <br />not related to the other problem. Mayor Younger moved to amend the Ordinance <br />in Sec. 16-26. (b) After sale. by amending " . . . double the amount paid <br />by him [Buyer] for the property. . ." to ". . . one and one-third the <br />amount. . .", and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call <br />for the amendment, the following vote was recorded: <br />
