Mr. Brown moved to table this matter to the November 9, 1987 Meeting and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimousl~. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two appoint- ments to the Commission for Women. Ms. Kissler moved to appoint Paula Hamilton and Barbara Gregory. The Council voted unanimously for their appointments. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration two appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. There were no names submitted and the Council requested this be rescheduled for November 9. Mr. Farr introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NIENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING 62.19 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE T. J. CHAMBERS LEAGUE AND THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2 IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING ALL OF THAT CERTAIN 39.81 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO KENNETH M. BROWN, ET AL BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 159, PAGE 91 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING ALL OF THAT CERTAIN 23.2 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO KENNETH M. BROWN BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 159, PAGE 93 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED NORTHWEST OF POST ROAD ON BERT BROWN ROAD, FROM "Mil (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESSES DISTRICT) TO "P" (PUBLIC USE DISTRICT); AND DECLAR- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning amendment. No one did, so Mr. Farr closed the public hearing. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Farr introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MIENDING ORDINANCE 1985-46 TO CHANGE ARTICLE III TO ARTICLE IV AND AMENDING SAID ARTICLE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF A $10.00 FEE FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE TAX COLLECTOR OF TAX CERTIFICATES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra moved to amend the Ordinance in Article IV, Sec. 16-45 for all water plats (12" x 18"), wastewater plats (12" x 18"), city plats (12" x 18") and annexation maps (small) to be at a charge of $5.00 in place of $4.00 and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first read- ing.
