City Council Meeting Minutes August 18, 2015 <br />For: 5 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council <br />Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 1 - Council Member Thomason <br />Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott <br />19. Consider approval of Ordinance 2015-33, on the first of two readings, adopting fees to <br />be charged by the City for various City Services, including changes to some existing <br />fees and the addition of new fees; providing a savings clause; providing for the repeal <br />of any conflicting provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />approveA motion was made by Mayor Guerrero, seconded by Council Member <br />Thomason, to . 1 . readings. <br />Council provided a suggestion to increase the reinspection fee for the month of <br />August for multifamily project and to include the reinspection fee when the site <br />isn't ready for inspection. Staff will discuss this and bring back a suggestion to <br />the Council for second reading. Staff will provide the current fees and include <br />those for Kyle and Buda. Staff will have floodplain fees and a PID, MUD and <br />TIRZ fee of $15,000 for second reading. Staff will assess the other fees again at <br />the beginning of the year. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 5 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council <br />Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 1 - Council Member Thomason <br />Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott <br />20. Consider approval of Resolution 2015-1078 delaying action on an Ordinance <br />authorizing City of San Marcos, Texas Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation in <br />an amount not to exceed $19,750,000.00; and other matters related thereto. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Thomaides, seconded by Mayor <br />Pro -Tem Prather, that Resolution 2015-1078 be approved. The motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, Mayor <br />Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott <br />21. Discuss and consider appointments to fill the vacancies on the San Marcos <br />Commission on Children and Youth for the Hays County Representative and the Key <br />Constituency Group appointee of Council Member John Thomaides, and provide <br />direction to Staff. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Prewitt, seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem <br />Prather, for the appointment of Laura Hernandez and Jeff Baergen to the San <br />City of San Marcos Page 8 <br />
