19. Notes General - Water (fire) hydrants must be placed or moved to finished grade after installation. - Water (fire) hydrants are required to be marked with a blue reflective marker 6" to 10" off center of the roadway, toward the hydrant. - All hydrants should be finish painted or ordered in a silver color. City will not perform tie -in function of a public line to o private line. It is the responsibility of the owner or contractor to tie to the line provided by the city from the public easement to the private property line. It is the licensed plumber /utility contractor responsibility to maintain proper slope and connection of system to the public connection. - Water (fire) hydrants capable of producing the required GPM (based on construction type) must be located within 500 foot of the most remote portion of the building using accessible surfaced roadway for measurement. Hydrants must be operational prior to storing or raising combustible material on job site.
