95 Regular Meeting July 26, 1993 Page 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY FROM PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR ALL THAT CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND CONSISTING OF 1.52 ACRES OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1210 OLD MARTINDALE ROAD AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak regarding the land use amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mr. Moore asked if the property had been moved out of the floodplain area with the adjusted FEMA maps of the County. Mr. Jenkins advised Mr. Moore the property has ,been in the City limits since 1990. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Mooney, Morris, Guerra, Cox, Plummer. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Hart. ~ (Mr. Hart present at 7:50 p.m.). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING ALL THAT CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, CONSISTING OF 1.52 ACRES OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1210 0LD MARTINDALE ROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the Zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adopotion of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 7, BLOCK 2 OF THE C. L. MCGEHEE SUBDIVISION AS RECORDED IN VOLUME H, PAGE 573 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 317 BLANCO STREET, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing.
