<br />95 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting July 26, 1993 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY FROM PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO LOW <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR ALL THAT CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF <br />LAND CONSISTING OF 1.52 ACRES OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI <br />LEAGUE NO.2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1210 OLD <br />MARTINDALE ROAD AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak regarding the land use amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris <br />closed the public hearing. Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the <br />Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mr. Moore asked if <br />the property had been moved out of the floodplain area with the <br />adjusted FEMA maps of the County. Mr. Jenkins advised Mr. Moore the <br />property has ,been in the City limits since 1990. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Mooney, Morris, Guerra, Cox, Plummer. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Hart. <br />~ <br /> <br />(Mr. Hart present at 7:50 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />ALL THAT CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, CONSISTING OF 1.52 <br />ACRES OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, IN HAYS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1210 0LD MARTINDALE ROAD, FROM "PD" <br />(PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the Zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of <br />the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adopotion of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />LOT 7, BLOCK 2 OF THE C. L. MCGEHEE SUBDIVISION AS RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME H, PAGE 573 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT <br />317 BLANCO STREET, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />[LOW DENSITY]) TO "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT) AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of ~ <br />the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion. On roll <br />call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Hart, Morris, Cox, Plummer. <br /> <br />NAY: Mooney, Guerra. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was <br />read as follows: <br />
