City Council Meeting Minutes September 1, 2015 <br />There being no further comments, the Mayor closed the Public Nearing at 8:58 <br />p.m. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, seconded by Council Member <br />Prewitt, that Ordinance 2015 -36 be approved, on the first of two readings. The <br />motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 1 - Council Member Thomason <br />21. TOOPM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br />for or against Ordinance 2015 -37 amending the rates for both Residential and <br />Multifamily Customers of Municipal Solid Waste Programs in accordance with Section <br />66.028(a) of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances; including procedural provisions; <br />and declaring an effective date; and consider approval of Ordinance 2015 -37, on the <br />first of two readings. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Thomaides, seconded by Council <br />Member Prewitt, that Ordinance 2015-37 be approved, on the first of two <br />readings. also look into commercial single options. <br />The motion rl by the following vote: <br />For: 7- Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt <br />and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />22. TOOPM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br />for or against Ordinance 2015 -38, amending Ordinance No. 2013 -48 by increasing <br />drainage charges originally established by said Ordinance for the 2015 -2016 Fiscal <br />Year under authority of Section 86.505 of the San Marcos City Code; and including <br />procedural provisions; and consider approval of Ordinance 2015 -38, on the first of two <br />readings. <br />Feather Furlbert, Finance Director provided a brief presentation to Council. <br />Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Fearing at 9:10 p.m. <br />City of San Marcos Page 9 <br />
