95 <br />Emergency Meeting <br />November 16, 1981 <br />Page 3 <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading amending Chapter 5 entitled "Buildings and Building <br />Regulations", the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 5, ENTITLED "BUILD- <br />INGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS" TO ADOPT THE STANDARD <br />BUILDING CODE, 1979 EDITION, AND THE 1980-81 REVISIONS <br />TO THE 1979 EDITION AND AMEND SAID CODE IN CERTAIN RE- <br />SPECTS; TO SET A PENALTY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading to get <br />it on the table for discussion and Mr. James seconded the motion. <br />City Manager A. C. Gonzalez advised the Council some of the area <br />builders who would be affected by the Ordinance wished to convey <br />their feelings concerning the Ordinance prior to approval of the <br />second reading before the Council. Mr. Cavazos then moved that <br />the second reading of this Ordinance be tabled until the November <br />23, 1981 Regular Council Meeting and Mrs. Mendez seconded the mo- <br />tion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of a Zoning Or- <br />dinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br />29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING LOT NO. SIX (6) IN <br />BLOCK NO. TWO (2) OF THE C. L. Mr. Joe Garza advised the Council <br />an easement was being discussed with the owner of the property, Dr. <br />James Tidwell.
