• 15. Consider adoption of Resolution 2009-64R, authorizing submission of an EMS grant <br />application; and providing an effective date. <br />16. Consider adoption of Resolution 2009-65R, supporting the passage of Senate Bill 855 <br />pending before the Texas legislature, the Texas Local Option Transportation Act; <br />authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to sign any letters or make any public statements <br />indicating the Citv's support for Senate Bill 855 consistent with this resolution; and <br />providing an effective date. <br />17. Consider adoption of Resolution 2009-66R, supporting the Loop 82 Improvements <br />Proiect, including an overpass above the Union Pacific Railroad Line, between Charles <br />Austin Drive and Thorpe Lane; authorizing submission of an application for funding of the <br />proiect by means of a pass through toll agreement with the Texas Department of <br />Transportation (TXDOT); and declaring an effective date. <br />18. Consider approval of Post Road Paving and Drainage Proiect Change Order #9 to <br />Texas Sterling Construction in an amount not to exceed $164,780.00. <br />19. Consider approving the City Council's goals for Fiscal Year 2009-2010. <br />20. Consider approval of the City Council's Budget Policy Statement for Fiscal Year 2009- <br />2010. <br />Items 12 and 17 were pulled from the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Couch and a second by Councilmember <br />Jones, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, with Councilmember Terry <br />and Mayor Narvaiz voting against item 11, to approve the Consent Agenda, less items 12 and 17. <br />The motion carried. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Jones, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to reconsider <br />item 11. The motion carried unanimously. <br />(II)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted five (5) for and two (2) opposed, with Councilmember Terry <br />and Mayor Narvaiz voting against, to approve Ordinance 2009-22, as previously captioned. The <br />motion carried. <br />(12)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Couch and a second by <br />Councilmember Jones, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve <br />Resolution 2009-61 R, as previously captioned.
