A. Since the Consultant's compensation is a fixed fee for basic services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Consultant for <br />additional services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services <br />described in this Agreement. The City may direct the Consultant to perform services <br />outside of the scope of the Basic Services described in Section A of this Agreement <br />above. The Consultant will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the <br />City's authorization before initiating any additional services. The following are <br />specifically considered to be additional services: <br />1) Extraction of additional data from the acquired mobile LiDAR data, <br />2) On- the - ground collection of survey data in areas identified as obscured to the <br />LiDAR system at the time of collection, <br />3) Survey services related to boundary and right -of -way surveys, ownership, <br />courthouse research and base map preparation. <br />4) Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services <br />5) Survey or Construction staking <br />6) Any services not specifically in this scope of work. <br />B. Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by the <br />Consultant must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services <br />form attached to this Agreement as Attachment C. Compensation for additional services <br />will be in addition to that specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section of this <br />Agreement. The approval of the San Marcos City Council is necessary for all additional <br />services the compensation for which exceeds $50,000.00. <br />C. This scope of work and associated fee has been generated taking into consideration the <br />following assumptions. If any of these assumptions prove to be incorrect, additional fees <br />may be incurred in accordance with A. above. <br />1) The survey does not constitute a boundary or right of way survey. In the event a <br />right of way survey is required, this will be performed under a separate work <br />authorization. <br />2) Project horizontal and vertical coordinates will be represented in US Survey Feet, <br />grid and surface values. <br />3) The project horizontal Datum will be NAD83 (2011). <br />4) The horizontal coordinates will be projected to the Texas State Plane Coordinate <br />System, South central Zone. <br />5) The deliverables will be provided in grid values. <br />6) The vertical datum will be NAVD88, and the orthometric heights will be obtained <br />utilizing Geoid 2012A. <br />7) Storm and Sanitary sewer inverts will only be collected where accessible without <br />the need for temporary lane closures. <br />8) Traffic control will not be necessary in order to set the mobile LiDAR targets. <br />9) The mobile LiDAR collection will occur in a maximum of one (1), twelve (12) hour <br />day. <br />CITY HALL s 630 EAST HOPKINS ® SAN MARCOS, TExAs 78666 e 512.393.8150 ® FACSIMILE 855.759.2846 <br />SANMARCOSTX.GOV <br />8 <br />
