A. Since the Consultant's compensation is a fixed fee for basic services, including minor deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Consultant for additional services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in this Agreement. The City may direct the Consultant to perform services outside of the scope of the Basic Services described in Section A of this Agreement above. The Consultant will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional services. The following are specifically considered to be additional services: 1) Extraction of additional data from the acquired mobile LiDAR data, 2) On- the - ground collection of survey data in areas identified as obscured to the LiDAR system at the time of collection, 3) Survey services related to boundary and right -of -way surveys, ownership, courthouse research and base map preparation. 4) Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services 5) Survey or Construction staking 6) Any services not specifically in this scope of work. B. Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by the Consultant must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this Agreement as Attachment C. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section of this Agreement. The approval of the San Marcos City Council is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which exceeds $50,000.00. C. This scope of work and associated fee has been generated taking into consideration the following assumptions. If any of these assumptions prove to be incorrect, additional fees may be incurred in accordance with A. above. 1) The survey does not constitute a boundary or right of way survey. In the event a right of way survey is required, this will be performed under a separate work authorization. 2) Project horizontal and vertical coordinates will be represented in US Survey Feet, grid and surface values. 3) The project horizontal Datum will be NAD83 (2011). 4) The horizontal coordinates will be projected to the Texas State Plane Coordinate System, South central Zone. 5) The deliverables will be provided in grid values. 6) The vertical datum will be NAVD88, and the orthometric heights will be obtained utilizing Geoid 2012A. 7) Storm and Sanitary sewer inverts will only be collected where accessible without the need for temporary lane closures. 8) Traffic control will not be necessary in order to set the mobile LiDAR targets. 9) The mobile LiDAR collection will occur in a maximum of one (1), twelve (12) hour day.
