No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Moore moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM COMMERCIAL TO PUBLIC FOR 4.875 ACRES, MORE OR <br />LESS, OF LAND AREA IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 2 IN SAN <br />MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING THAT 3.63 ACRE TRACT OF LAND <br />DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM W. C. CARSON, TRUSTEE, TO SCRUTCHIN <br />PROPERTIES, INC. DATED JANUARY 10, 1980 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME <br />337, PAGE 253 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS AND BEING THOSE <br />TWO TRACTS OF LAND DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM P. H. RHEW, TO <br />SCRUTCHIN PROPERTIES, INC. DATED MARCH 7, 1980 AND RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME 339, PAGE 326 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED <br />ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE 400 BLOCK OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone Wished to <br />speak for or against the land use amendment. No ohe did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of <br />the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mayor Morris <br />moved to amend the caption to remove the word FROM on the last line <br />of the caption between the words DRIVE and AND, and Mr. Guerra <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then <br />unanimously adopted the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br /> LOTS 4, 5 AND 6, BLOCK 3 AND LOTS 4, 5 AND 6, BLOCK 6 OF THE <br /> BLANCO GARDENS SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS <br /> RECORDED IN VOLUME 1, PAGE 1 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, <br /> LOCATED AT 1306, 1307, 1308, 1309, 1310 AND 1311 BARBARA DRIVE, <br /> FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO #DP-2# (TWO-FAMILY DWELLING <br /> DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment.
