Approximately four to six hour of staff time is required per meeting. <br />3. Please list the amount and types of information normally contained in th;:: <br /> board or commission agenda packets. <br /> Agenda cover sheet; minutes of previous meeting; staff report providing information regarding the <br /> appeal and a recommendation regarding the best imerest of Ù1e City. <br />4. What types of issues are most commonly dealt with by this bo:lrd or <br /> commissio n? <br /> The Plumbing Board of Adjustments and Appeals hears appeals regarding the Building Inspector's <br /> interpretation of the Plumbing Code; also makes recommendations to the City Council on any <br /> proposed changes to the Stancbrd Plumbing Code or local code modifications such as the requirement <br /> for water conserving fixtUres. <br /> 5. Does this boHd or commission continue to have a viabk role rel:ltcd to its <br /> charge or are there any duties that could be easily h:lndlcd at the st:lff <br /> level? Please be specific. <br /> With the adoption of the 1991 Standard Code (now pending at the Legal Department prior to City Council <br /> action), a new Board will be created which will consolidate the Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals. <br /> the Mechanical Board of Adjustments and Appeals and the Plumbing Board of Adjustments and .Appeals. The <br /> new Board will be called the "Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals". The new board wÜI consist <br /> of seven members and two alternates. The Board will hear appeals to the Building Code. Plumbing Code. <br /> Mechanical Code and Unsafe Building Abatement Code. <br /> 6.
