<br />136 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting August 10, 1992 Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />315 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1008-1014 <br />ACADEMY STREET AND 308-310 SESSOMS DRIVE AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Ron <br />Patterson advised the Council this is the lowest commercial type <br />zoning, and there is concern regarding traffic in this area and <br />street cuts. Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the Resolution and <br />Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />15.846 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO.1, <br />IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAME BEING ALL OF THAT CERTAIN 5.51 ACRE <br />TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO MCCOY CORPORATION BY DEED RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME 235, PAGE 107 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS AND ALL OF <br />THAT CERTAIN 10 ACRES OF LAND CONVEYED TO MCCOY CORPORATION BY <br />DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 284, PAGE 9 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS <br />COUNTY, LOCATED AT 1200 IH-35 NORTH FROM "I" (INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak.
