City Council Meeting Minutes -Final January 5,2016 <br /> well as previous recorded floods on the Blanco. The Woods Apartment complex <br /> did impact the adjacent neighborhood during the event and could impact it <br /> under other flood events. <br /> Following the presentation and discussion Council has asked Staff to <br /> coordinate a future workshop to further discuss their questions and concerns. <br /> Staff will bring the following items back during the workshop for further <br /> discussion: <br /> Options available to mitigate various flooding events in the Blanco Garden <br /> Neighborhoods <br /> Discussion with Dovetail on how they can assist the City in mitigating flood <br /> issues caused by the Woods Apartment Complex. <br /> Discussion with RPS regarding the analysis performed and the permitting of <br /> the Woods Apartment Complex. <br /> Discuss the process through which the Woods project was approved. <br /> Discussion with GBRA on what can be done to assist in alleviating the <br /> situation. <br /> Discussion regarding a future notification system and evacuation plan. <br /> 6:00 PM <br /> V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br /> Grace Davis: addressed the council regarding her mother Mary Davis' home <br /> on Conway regarding the flood that took place there. She mentioned the <br /> neighborhood is not the same and it began when the neighbors said they don't <br /> want the Woods Apartments. This flood has changed the lives of her mother, <br /> herself, and her sister. These neighbors care and the families have been <br /> displaced they need help now and we need to take care of our citizens. <br /> Lisa Marie Coppoletta: expressed her frustration with the neighborhood <br /> commission and wanted to apologize for those that voted to place her on this <br /> commission. She stated her interest in having a New Business item on the <br /> Neighborhood Commission agendas. She stated she was told to keep to her <br /> sector and feels there should be team building between sectors. Lastly she <br /> requested that flooded apartments be tagged by the City. <br /> Charles Soechting: Expressed his appreciation to the seated council. He stated <br /> this is first Council in a long time that listens to the citizens.
