3. Describe how your government is taking into account the proposed implementation plans and activities
for use of funds by adjacent units of local government that are grant recipients under the Program
(response not mandatory for Indian Tribes).
The City's EECBG working group committee will coordinate with neighboring local governments and regional organizations to
coordinate contractor outreach, training, funding, project protocols, monitoring procedures and marketing in an effort to
streamline services and provide a consistent approach and best practices to homeowners and businesses in the region.
We also plan to work closely with the local utility on identifying EEMs, including additional rebates for both commercial and
residential projects to accelerate implementation and provide additional customer service and marketing materials.
4. Describe how your government will coordinate and share information with the state in which you are
located regarding activities carried out with grant funds to maximize energy efficiency and conservation
benefits (response not mandatory for Indian Tribes).
The value of peer-to-peer information sharing among local governments and state agencies cannot be underestimated. We
will enable our local government and business leaders to serve as speakers at regional and statewide workshops for local
officials and businesses, participate In information sharing networks and databases, and generally contribute to the body of
collective knowledge among local and state agency officials in this area. Communicating our program results and best
practices to the state will add to the collective body of knowledge towards improving comprehensive, state-wide program
delivery including recognition of major and significant achievements in energy measures and savings. The City is already
working with the State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) in cooperation with the Texas Energy Engineering Services, Inc.
(TEESI) to maximize energy efficiency and conservation benefits to prevent the community from reaching non-attainment.
