City Council Meeting Minutes May 3, 2016 <br />received permission from the school district to move forward with the repairs. <br />Marla Johnson, 1101 Davis bane, flays - Caldwell Women's Shelter, spoke <br />about their request of $25,000. She stated that the demand in San Marcos is <br />really great and they have doubled in just this first quarter this year. She <br />explained that this would serve 14 San Marcos residents. She stated that they <br />have also requested $8,000 to help with rental assistance. This will help about 6 <br />families with a first month's rent and maybe the second month in some <br />situations. She stated that they are not seeking any other funds from any other <br />sources for the rental assistance. <br />Lisa Marie Coppoletta, spoke in opposition of Centro Cultural flispano de San <br />Marcos receiving any money because repairing the roof is the school district's <br />responsibility, and not the City's. She would rather see this money go to the <br />Women's Shelter. <br />There being no further comments, Mayor Guerrero closed the Public Hearing <br />at 7:22 p.m. <br />Staff will provide the Council with all of the applications and information <br />regarding the San Marcos (lousing Authority's request and the Excel <br />spreadsheet to assist in planning their allocations for the next meeting. No <br />further action was taken. <br />NON - CONSENT AGENDA <br />20. Consider approval of Ordinance 2016 -10, on the second of two readings, amending <br />the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning 83.657 acres of land, more or less, <br />being Blocks A, B and E out of the Blanco Riverwalk Subdivision, located on the west <br />side of North IH -35 between Carlson Circle and Yarrington Road from "CC" <br />Community Commercial District to "HC" Heavy Commercial District with a "PDD" <br />Planned Development District Overlay; approving standards for said Planned <br />Development District; including procedural provisions; and providing for penalties; and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />Main Motion: A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, that Ordinance 2016 -10 be approved. <br />Motion to Amend: A motion was made by Council Member Gregson, <br />seconded by Council Member Hughson, that Ordinance 2016 -10 be amended <br />by adding a new subsection being Section 1. c. 6 as stated below: <br />6.
