Mr. Patterson advised the Council <br />this applies when lots are going through platting. The Council <br />asked Mr. Patterson if this could be reviewed for recommendation to <br />apply during the replatting process while someone is in the process <br />of remodeling. Mr. Patterson will have the Planning Commission look <br />at the change and bring a recommendation to the Council. The <br />Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first <br />reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 5-2 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES TO REQUIRE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS TO IDENTIFY <br />THEIR VEHICLES BY COMPANY NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER; AMENDING <br />SECTION 5-132 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINACES REGARDING <br />PERMITTED WIRING TYPES AND METHODS; AMENDING SECTIONS 5-151, <br />5-152 AND 5-167 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING <br />LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIANS AND PERSONS <br />PERFORMING WORK ON THEIR HOMESTEADS, AND A MINIMUM ELECTRICAL <br />PERMIT FEE; AMENDING SECTION 5-168 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES REGARDING WORK UNDER CERTAIN ELECTRICAL PERMITS; <br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING <br />ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Plummer seconded the motion. Mr. Patterson advised the Council <br />many other contractors are already required to place signs on doors <br />of vehicles. Mr. Hart asked Mr. Patterson what a rooming house is, <br />and Mr. Patterson replied any property that offers rooms to rent. <br />Mr. Guerra stated in relation to section 5-167(b) (3) he wanted <br />people to be able to perform work on their own property. Mr. Guerra <br />moved to amend the Ordinance in section 5-151(2) to read, ". . . in <br />a residence owned by the owner. . .", and to amend Section <br />5-167(b) (3) to read, " . . . in a residence owned by the applicant. <br />. ., " and Mr. Hart seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Mooney, Hart, Morris, Guerra, Cox, Plummer. <br /> <br />NAY: Moore. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on <br />first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINACE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY-OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A - GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY BY AMENDING SECTION 35(G) AND <br />¡ (H) REGARDING SPECIFIC USE PERMITS FOR ON-PREMISE CONSUMPTION <br />ì OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING <br />ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR <br />PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and <br />Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the <br />Ordinance in section 35(H) (3) (g) to read as follows: "(g) Limit in <br />the CBA district: <br /> <br />"1. The number of active TABC specific use permits in the <br />Central Business Area zoning district shall not exceed 15. <br />
