<br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting April 11, 1994 Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />Item 7.G., a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance was <br />considered earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, , <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 0.43 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF <br />THE 700 BLOCK OF SAN ANTONIO STREET, FROM "TH-1" (TOWNHOUSE <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) TO "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />[LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris ,opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Plummer moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Guerra not <br />present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1994-12, WHICH ORDERED A JOINT <br />GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION BY THE CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS <br />CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BE HELD ON MAY 7, <br />1994, TO CHANGE THE APPOINTMENT OF A PRESIDING JUDGE FOR THE <br />EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moore not <br />present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read .as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1993-1994 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR LEGAL SERVICES FOR THE <br />CITY'S WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT RENEWAL; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moore not <br />present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held March 28, 1994, adoption of six <br />Resolutions, approval for use of Tourist Account Funds in the amount <br />of $675.00 for one additional bus to be used on April 22, 1994 at <br />the Texas Municipal League Board Meeting in San Marcos for the <br />purpose of promoting tourism, and approval of the Comprehensive <br />Annual Financial Report for the year ended September 30, 1993 on <br />consensus. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held March 28, 1994, for adoption of the six <br />
