Mr. Gilley stated he thinks we have projects that would <br />place us in the finals. Mr. Hernandez stated he would want the <br />budget slimmed down for this project by cutting out the glitz. Mr. <br />Gilley stated the costs could be considerably reduced if we did not <br />pay for all who participate. It was consensus of council present to <br />pursue this matter. (3) Mr. Moore commended all the Staff involved <br />in the sights and Sounds for an outstanding job. (4) Mr. Moore <br />stated the comptroller would be the speaker this week at a CAPCO <br />meeting. (5) Mr. Guerra requested Staff get forms on the Governor's <br />Nomination Program and see how they can be made available to those <br />seeking the forms. <br />Mr. Guerra introduced the Executive Session pursuant to Chapter 551 <br />of the Government Code, section 551.071, to discuss pending <br />litigation (Sierra Club vs. Babbitt; Sharp vs. civil Service <br />commission) and matters where the city Attorney's ethical duty to <br />the city clearly conflicts with Government Code Chapter 551; and <br />sections 551.072 and 551.073, to discuss purchase of real property. <br />Mr. Moore moved to adjourn into Executive Session at 10:13 p.m. and <br />Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Moore moved the Council reconvene at 11:20 p.m~ and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:20 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Hernandez <br />and seconded by Mr. Moore. <br /> =t-GJ <br /> t 1N/V\)~\- <br /> Fred Guerra <br /> Mayor Pro-Tern <br /> Robert Mooney <br /> Council Member <br /> ~,; /Jrfr~9} , <br /> Jo g-;~a - J.:r::/ <br /> 1/.
