City Council Meeting Minutes June 7, 2016 <br />Shannon Mattingly, Director of Development Services, provided the Council <br />with an overview of the request for partial assignment. <br />Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Hearing at 8:53 p.m. <br />Guy Dudley, 1911 Rio Grande, Austin, TX, spoke on behalf of the buyers and <br />stated that they didn't want to change anything they just wanted to buy the <br />property and they were here to answer any questions. <br />Lisa Marie Coppoletta, 1322 Belvin, spoke in opposition of this request. <br />Diane Wassenich, 1.1. Tanglewood, stated that she wasn't really speaking in <br />opposition, but she doesn't understand why we would remove the requirement <br />for an assignment to come back to the council that was orginially part of the <br />original agreement. She stated that there was an application to remove the <br />retail from it and that failed so this is going back to the original plan. She <br />stated that she didn't understand. <br />There being no further comments, Mayor Guerrero closed the Public Hearing <br />at 8:55 p.m. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Prather, seconded by Council <br />Member Gregson, that Resolution 2016 -74R be approved. Council Member .- <br />Derrick abstained to avoid the appearance of impropriety. The motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />r Lei i Elie] z � ►W <br />12. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion on the Hopkins Street Improvements: <br />Bishop to Moore, and provided direction to staff. <br />Richard Reynosa, Senior Engineer, provided the Council with a presentation <br />regarding the Hopkins Street Improvements from Bishop Street to Moore <br />Street. Staff will provide a listing of any tree removal and to look at providing <br />tree wells for trees. Staff will look into what it would cost to stripe Belvin or <br />San Antonio Stree for bike lanes and the potential of signage directing bicycle <br />traffic to those routes. Staff will move forward with the street section without <br />the bike lanes and will come back at a later time regarding the specifics related <br />to the electric. <br />13. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion on Sessom Drive /Academy Street project, <br />City of San Marcos Page 6 <br />
