<br />15 <br />Regular Meeting July 25, 1994 Page 2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM OPEN SPACE/FLOODPLAIN TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL FOR A 2.0 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE <br />1400 BLOCK OF RIVER ROAD AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to I <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Mooney moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLgTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL FOR A 10.05 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 426 <br />BROADWAY DRIVE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Cox moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Mðore seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A TRACT OF PROPERTY 2.0 ACRES IN SIZE, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED IN <br />THE 1400 BLOCK OF RIVER ROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT <br />DISTRICT) TO IMF-2" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]) <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. Wesley Nichols stated he is a builder in town and wants to <br />build a home on this property. No one else wished to speak, so <br />Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Mooney moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A TRACT OF PROPERTY 10.05 ACRES IN SIZE, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED <br />AT 426 BROADWAY DRIVE, FROM IR-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO IMF-2" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT <br />[MEDIUM DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing (Mr. <br />Guerra present at 8:00 p.m.). Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the <br />Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Moore, Mooney, Morris, Cox, Hernandez. <br />NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Guerra. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br />
