15 Regular Meeting July 25, 1994 Page 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM OPEN SPACE/FLOODPLAIN TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR A 2.0 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1400 BLOCK OF RIVER ROAD AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to I speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Mooney moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Mðore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A TRACT OF PROPERTY 2.0 ACRES IN SIZE, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED IN THE 1400 BLOCK OF RIVER ROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO IMF-2" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. Wesley Nichols stated he is a builder in town and wants to build a home on this property. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Mooney moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A TRACT OF PROPERTY 10.05 ACRES IN SIZE, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT 426 BROADWAY DRIVE, FROM IR-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO IMF-2" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing (Mr. Guerra present at 8:00 p.m.). Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Mooney, Morris, Cox, Hernandez. NAY: None.
