authorizing the Police Department to donate these two vehicles to Texas State University is <br />for use in the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Program; <br />transferring title for both vehicles to Texas State University; and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />16. Consider approval of the City of San Marcos Quarterly Financial Report (QFR) for <br />quarter ending March 31, 2009. <br />17. Consider approval of the City of San Marcos Quarterly Investment Report (QIR) for <br />quarter endin6 March 31, 2009. <br />Items 11 and 16 were pulled from the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the Consent Agenda, <br />less items 11 and 16. The motion carried unanimously. <br />(11)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Terry, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to table this item <br />until the next meeting in order that staff may draft a change to the variance request process. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />(16)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Porterfield, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to approve • <br />the City of San Marcos Quarterly Financial Report for quarter ending March 31, 2009. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />END OF CONSENT AGENDA <br />18. Consider appointments to the following Boards and Commissions. <br />A. Human Services Advisorv Board. <br />Anita Fuller and W.C. Daniels were appointed to the Human Services Advisory Board. <br />19. Consider adoption of Ordinance 2009-32 on emergencv, amending the citv's 2008-2009 <br />budget to transfer $11,605.00 from the Police Asset Forfeiture Fund for emergency repairs <br />to the air conditioner that serves the police computer room; and declaring an emergency. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to adopt Ordinance 2009-32 on <br />emergency, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />20. Consider an ordinance amending the San Marcos Citv Code by amending Chapter 62, <br />Article 2, Section 62.093 to authorize assignment pay for police department personnel <br />assigned to mental health officer duty and providing an effective date; and consider <br />ordinance on first of two readings. • <br />RM061609 Minutes Page 4
