<br />136 - <br />Regular Meeting April 28, 1997 . Page 8 <br />could she pay the fee and still play on Saturday. Ms. Hughson asked if membership only <br />covers designated time periods. Mr. Cobb stated yes. Mr. Cox suggested their credit card <br />receipt and check be placed on hold until the event is over. Mr. Hart stated there are too <br />many instances where damage will be done and staff is going to be racing to the bank <br />before the individual who leased the facility places a stop on the check. Mr. Hart stated <br />a deposit is a deposit. The Council directed Staff to explore the credit card us'e and bring <br />back the issue on third reading. Mr. Guerra stated he will have recommendations on fees <br />at the next meeting. On roll call the motion passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Hernandez introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE U.S. POST OFFICE POSTMARK AS <br />PROOF OF TIMELY RECEIPT OF HOTEUMOTEL REPORTS AND TAXES <br />BY AMENDING SECTION 78.103 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENAL TIES. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for adoption and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. On roll call the <br />motion passed unanimously. . <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Hernandez introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on third reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 42.051 OF THE CITY CODE TO <br />REVISE THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION COMMISSION; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Hart seconded the motion.
