City Council Meeting Minutes August 2, 2016 would be interested to work with TXDOT to make a gateway. Council requested to include in the agreement pedestrian crossings at the Intersection including lighted crosswalks and increasing the time to cross at the pedestrian crossing. Staff will address the intersection at Hunter and Wonder World by increasing the timing at the pedestrian crossings. Staff and HEB to ensure that the Transportation HUB is addressed. I EB will hold discussion with Purgatory Creek Apartment owners to discuss a light in the area. Staff will research the Purgatory Dam to determine what needs to be done to prepare for the next storm of record. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 5 - Mayor Guerrero, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Prewitt, Council Member Hughson, Council Member Derrick and Council Member Gregson Against: 2 - Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides and Council Member Prather Main Motion: that Ordinance 2016 -27 be approved as amended, on the first of two readings. TOOPM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments for or against Ordinance 2016 -26 amending the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning 83.657 acres of land, more or less, being Blocks A, B and E out of the Blanco Riverwalk Subdivision, located on the west side of North IH -35 between Carlson Circle and Yarrington Road from "CC" Community Commercial District to "HC" Heavy Commercial District with a "PDD" Planned Development District Overlay; approving standards for said Planned Development District; including procedural provisions; and providing for penalties; and consider approval of Ordinance 2016 -26, on the first of two readings. Shannon Mattingly, Director of Development Services, provided the Council with a presentation on the request. Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Hearing at 11:27 p.m. Robert McDonald, 3735 Lost Creek Blvd, spoke in favor of the item. He stated that he is fine with the building standards as proposed in this agenda, Item #17, or any future standards, but he pointed out that this is the 20th month that this has been sitting there.
