107 <br />Regular Meeting September 9, 1996 Page 4 <br />Chamber of Commerce funding in the amount of $25,000.00 to come from <br />the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Reserve instead of from the 5/7ths <br />($414,876.00) designated to go to the Chamber of Commerce and Mr. <br />Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council <br />then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on <br />emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1995-96 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE CHISOS STREET <br />CONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and <br />Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra asked for the <br />location and was advised this runs perpendicular to Barnes Street, <br />and Mr. Gilley stated this is to assist with the flow of traffic, as <br />there has been added traffic with Parkview Metals. The Council <br />voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on <br />emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1995-96 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE'STATE HIGHWAY 123/FM621 <br />INTERSECTION REALIGNMENT PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion. There will be signalization at this <br />intersection, which will enhance the traffic flow and make this a <br />safer intersection. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of <br />the Ordinance on emergency. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration reconsideration of two <br />Zoning Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reconsider these <br />Ordinances. The captions read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 28.37 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 301 FOXTAIL'RUN, FROM <br />"PDD" (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "P" (PUBLIC AND <br />INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 1.34 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1522 RANCH ROAD 12, <br />FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT <br />[HIGH DENSITY]); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on <br />first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 62, PUBLIC SAFETY, OF THE CITY CODE BY <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHARGING OF A FEE FOR FINGERPRINTING SERVICES; _ <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Ms. Hughson seconded the motion. Mayor Moore stated fingerprinting <br />of children under seventeen is exempt and Ms. Hughson stated she was <br />glad we are recovering some costs.
