<br />112 <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting July 8,_~996 Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on <br />first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2.069 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO <br />LIMIT THE NUMBER OF MEETINGS WITHIN A YEAR FROM WHICH A CITY <br />BOARD OR COMMISSION MEMBER MAY BE ABSENT; AND INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Ms. Hughson seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson moved to amend the <br />Ordinance in Section 2.069(c) at the end of the section to read, " <br />. . . Within this subsection, 'meeting' includes workshops and any <br />other posted meeting of the board or commission," and in the third <br />line of the same section, to change "one year" to "twelve months" <br />and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson asked how will board <br />members be notified, and Mr. Gilley stated through the Staff <br />liaisons who will be advised at Staff meetings. The Council voted <br />unanimously for approval of the amendment. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration reconsideration of four <br />Zoning Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reoonsider any of <br />these Ordinances. Regular Meeting held June 24, 1996, adoption of four Resolutions, <br />approval of expenditure in the amount of $5,000.00 from <br />Water/Wastewater Contingency Fund to fund the Toilet Rebate Program, <br />and adoption of a Resolution approving a Toilet Rebate Program on <br />consensus. The Council removed Items 9.B. (1) and 9.B. (3), adoption <br />of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mayor Moore advised <br />Ms. Hughson suggested corrections to the minutes prior to the <br />meeting and copies were provided to the Council, and if acceptable <br />with the Council, these minutes would not need to be removed from <br />consensus. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held June 24, 1996 (as corrected), adoption of the <br />remaining three Resolutions, and approval of the expenditure in the <br />
