D. Both the City and the Consultant understand and agree that the Consultant is not responsible <br />for the safety surfacing installation. However, the Consultant will assist the City in choosing <br />the appropriate safety surfacing and ensure the proper specifications for this construction <br />element are included in the plans and specifications. <br />E. The Project will be bid as a single bid contract but may include bid alternates as determined <br />by the City and the Consultant. Preparing documents for separate or sequential bids and <br />providing out -of -sequence services requested by the Owner are specifically not included in <br />this scope of services. <br />IV. BASIS OF COMPENSATION <br />A. BASIC SERVICES: <br />The total of all fees and expenses to be paid to the Consultant for the satisfactory <br />performance of Basic Services as described in Section A is a fixed fee of 65,300.00 based on <br />the Consultant's rates and reimbursable expenses as follows: <br />Design Development, Pre -Construction Management <br />$10,500.00 <br />Construction Documents <br />$26,000.00 <br />Construction Supervision <br />$28,800.00 <br />TOTAL <br />$65,300.00 <br />B. ADDITIONAL SERVICE EXPENSES: <br />Compensation for additional services (all services not shown in the Scope of Services) will be <br />computed based on the Consultant's standard hourly rates as follows and reimbursable expenses <br />at direct cost, if any.
