D. Review and sign blood draw and other search and arrest warrants that are in <br /> proper form and substance, including nights and weekends, at the request of <br /> the San Marcos Police Department. <br /> E. Conduct Emergency Protective Order Hearings signed by Judge arising from <br /> jail magistration cases. <br /> F. Conduct mental health hearings and/or draft and sign orders arising from jail <br /> magistration or relating to cases on the municipal court dockets. <br /> G. Attend annually all required judicial training. Currently at a minimum of 16 <br /> hours <br /> H. Preside over dockets, bench trials, bus arm hearings, and jury trials as <br /> requested by the Presiding Judge. <br /> 3. Compensation: City agrees to pay Judge $4,500.00 per month for her services <br /> under this Agreement, subject to proration for partial months in which such <br /> services are provided. City and Judge anticipate that Judge's services will be <br /> required for at least 50 hours each month. City will direct Court Administrator to <br /> schedule Judge to work no less than 50 hours per month, unless otherwise <br /> agreed by Judge. If approved in advance in writing by the Municipal Court <br /> Administrator or Assistant City Manager, Judge shall also be paid $80 per hour <br /> for services rendered in excess of 50 hours per month. Such additional hours, if <br /> authorized by City, shall be itemized on Judge's monthly invoices. Travel time <br /> and expenses of commuting to Court shall not be reimbursed. <br /> 4. Continuing Education and Professional Dues and Expenses: City shall <br /> reimburse Judge for reasonable and necessary expenses she incurs to comply <br /> with continuing legal education ("CLE") requirements for Texas lawyers and <br /> judges, including the costs of registration for seminars and training and travel <br /> expenses including lodging, meals, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses <br /> incident to such travel. Travel time and the hours Judge is engaged in CLE <br /> activities will not be reimbursed. City shall reimburse Judge for dues paid for <br /> membership in the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Municipal Court <br /> Association. <br /> 5. Conflicts: Judge agrees to promptly notify the Court Administrator of the San <br /> Marcos Municipal Court of Record of any known scheduling conflicts that will <br /> prevent Judge from attending a scheduled docket or if a legal conflict of interest <br /> prevents Judge from presiding over a specific case. <br /> 6. Entire Agreement: City and Judge agree that there are no other or further <br /> representations or agreements that bind either of them. Upon execution of this <br /> Agreement, any prior agreements, understandings, or communications between <br /> them about the subject matter of this Agreement shall be null and void. This <br />
