Determine Alignments-The ENGINEER will place inlets and drainage pipes as appropriate <br /> to fulfill the ponding and gravity flow requirements.The layout will be presented in the 30% <br /> plans. <br /> iii. Preliminary Hydraulics/Modeling—The ENGINEER will model the proposed system based <br /> on the previously produced Drainage Technical Memorandum by B&G Engineers dated July, <br /> 3 2012.A recommendation will be made for the best alternative based on cost and design <br /> requirements.The results will be summarized in the Preliminary Engineering Report. It is not <br /> anticipated that a Geotechnical or Structural Analysis will be required for any of the proposed <br /> drainage structures. In the event that either is required,it will be considered additional <br /> services outside this scope of services. <br /> F. Traffic Signal Warrant and Traffic Signal Design <br /> i. Perform traffic signal warrant analysis using the current MUTCD criteria for the intersection <br /> of Academy St.& Sessom Dr.Traffic volumes for the intersection will be obtained from City <br /> of San Marcos. <br /> ii. Prepare traffic signal design plan.specifications,construction cost estimates and signal timing <br /> plan for the intersection of Academy St.&Sessom Dr. <br /> G. Develop Opinion of Probable Cost for Construction:The opinion of probable cost will he prepared <br /> according to the current practices for the City of San Marcos and will include all items of work <br /> required for the complete construction of the work. <br /> H. Deliverables <br /> i. Preliminary Engineering Report Draft(3-hardcopies, 1-PDF) <br /> ii. Preliminary Engineering Report Final(3-hardcopies, 1-PDF, 1-DGN) <br /> II. Design Phase(60%/90%/100%) <br /> A. Project Management and QA/QC:This task includes routine communication with the OWNER; <br /> managing suhconsultants,manpower,budgets,and schedules;invoicing; implementing and monitoring <br /> of QA/QC efforts;and other activities associated with managing the project. <br /> i. Project Management <br /> ii. QA/QC <br /> B. Meetings:The ENGINEER will prepare meeting minutes and letter responses to questions as need. <br /> i. Project Meetings:The ENGINEER will attend three(3)project meetings for each milestone <br /> deliverable. <br /> ii.
