1998 Review Committee Report
ELECTRICAL BOARD
Reviewed by: Jerry Sebek and Soda Rodriguez
Pale 3
The Electrical Board consists of five voting members, plus the City Electrical Inspector (a non-
voting member). This board recommends standards for the licensing of electricians and
electrical construction standards within the City of San Marcos.
Observations
The members did an excellent job of conducting oral exams for candidates applying for
Maintenance Electrician Licenses and answering citizen questions. It is apparent that members
of this board need to have electrical knowledge and membership should continue to include
licensed electricians because of the scope of this board's duties.
Recommendation
No change
SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD
Reviewed by Soila Rodriguez and Kay Stott
The San Marcos Electric Utility Board is a five-member board that acts as an advisory body to
the City-Council regarding matters of the electric utility.
Observations
The Electric Utility Board is a vital part of the overall management system of our city.
