Mayor Billy G. Moore ~ill accompany <br /> Governor George W. Bush today in an aerial assessment of flood areas in San Marcos and other <br /> cities along the IH 35 corridor. The City is working around the clock to assist residents and <br /> assess damage through the implementation of its Emergency Management Plan. <br /> Four teams have been formed by City Staff to address the immediate needs of the <br /> community. They include City Information and Flood Hotline, Donations, Damage Assessment <br /> and Cleanup Teams. <br /> Flood Hotline Information <br /> A Flood Hotline is in operation at 393-8260 to assist residents with Hood information. <br /> Hotline hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> A San Marcos Fire and Rescue After the Flood Manual is being disseminated in the <br /> field as City workers go door-to-door throughout the community to assess flood damage. The <br /> manual has vital information to assist residents that can not stay in their homes due to damage <br /> caused by the Hooding. It also addresses cleaning tips, construction and utility questions in the <br /> cleanup process as well as handling of food, vital books and documents. The manual is available <br /> to the community at San Marcos City Hall at 630 E. Hopkins, the San Marcos Public Library at <br /> 625 E. Hopkins and the San Marcos Activity Center, SOlE.
