City Council Meeting Minutes February 5, 2019 <br />and their opposition to this name change. He spoke of various inconveniences <br />residents would incur due to this change. It has been Hunter Road for six or <br />seven decades. It makes no sense to change the name again as this would only <br />create confusion. We respectfully request you deny this request. <br />Dennis Moore, most issues were covered from previous speakers regarding <br />inconveniences. However, he suggests placing a three way sign at the corner of <br />San Antonio Street. <br />Lisa Marie Coppoletta, dialogue should be made and she asked that you listen <br />to the citizens whose lives are being impacted. <br />There being no further comments, the Mayor closed the Public Hearing at 6:46 <br />p.m. <br />Council asked that Staff look into the installation of a three-way sign at San <br />Antonio Street and Hunter/Hopkins. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Derrick, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Prewitt, to deny Ordinance 2019-07. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, Mayor <br />Hughson, Council Member Mihalkanin, Council Member Marquez and Council <br />Member Rockeymoore <br />Against: 0 <br />6. Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments for or <br />against Resolution 2019-26R (LIHTC-19-01 (Riverstone)), providing no objection to the <br />submission of an application for low income housing tax credits to the Texas Department <br />of Housing and Community Affairs for the proposed Riverstone Multifamily Housing <br />Project located at 1430 Wonder World Drive; approving findings related to such <br />application; imposing conditions for such no objection; providing authorizations for <br />execution or submission of documents related to the such application; and declaring an <br />effective date; and consider approval of Resolution 2019-26R. <br />Shannon Mattingly provided a brief presentation. She provided a summary of <br />the no objection submission and she provided information on the proximity to <br />services this property is located. Based on the criteria outlined in the City of <br />San Marcos Affordable Housing Policy, the application meets 5 out of the 8 <br />these criteria. Staff recommends approval of the Resolution of No Objection <br />for the proposed Riverstone application to the Texas Department of Housing <br />and Community Affairs for Low Income Housing Tax Credits. <br />Mayor Hughson opened the Public Hearing at 6:55 p.m. <br />City of San Marcos Page 5 <br />
