Regular Meeting July 9,2001 Page 4 Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE SALE OF LOT 3A, BLOCK 11, D.S. COMBS ADDITION, LOCATED AT 509 V ALLEY STREET, TO RUSSELL SMITH; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Hughson moved for denial of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion. Council noted the amount offered is too low. The Council voted unanimously for denial of the Ordinance. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 25, 2001, approval of four Ordinances on second reading, adoption of one Ordinance on third and final reading, adoption of two Resolutions, setting time and place of public hearing for FY 2002 Proposed Budget and directing City Clerk to publish public hearing notices and a general summary of the FY2002 Proposed Budget, and approval of Authorization of Change in Services No.1 in the amount of $25,000 for the Central Texas Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program Agreement with Geo- Visions by consensus. The Council removed item 11 approval of Ordinance on second reading, items 16 and 17, adoption of two Resolutions, and item 18 setting time and place of public hearing for FY2002 Proposed Budget, to be considered separately. Ms. Tatum moved to approve minutes of the Regular Meeting on June 25, 2001, approval of the remaining three Ordinances on second reading, adoption of the Ordinance on the third and final reading, and approval of Authorization of Change in Services No.1 in the amount of $25,000 for the Central Texas Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program Agreement with Geo- Visions by consensus and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Ms. Tatum abstained on minutes of Regular Meeting held on June 25, 2001). The captions of the Ordinances read as follows: Approval of Ordinances on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY THE ADDITION OF A CONSTRUCTION SPEED LIMIT ON ill 35 FROM THE NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY LIMITS TO LOOP 82; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 2000-2001 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE LBJ MUSEUM OF SAN MARCOS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
