200. Regular Meeting May 14, 2001 Page 2 Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Drainage Advisory Board to complete vacancies representing Sectors 1, 6 and 7. The City Council stated they would delay making appointments to this Board pending receiving the recommendation of the Citizen Review Commission. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Central Texas Higher Education Authority Board to complete a vacancy. Mr. Cox moved to appoint Jeana Fulfer and Mayor Chiu moved to appoint Rick Hende~son. On roll call the following vote was recorded: FULFER: Mihalkanin, Moseley, Cox, Mayhew, Tatum. HENDERSON: Chiu. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE INTERSECTION WITH THE NEW SUBDIVISION, DECLARING AN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NAME OF A PORTION OF NORTH BISHOP STREET, FROM ITS WITH NORTH LYNDON B. JOHNSON DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION EXTENSION OF BISHOP STREET INTO THE FRANKLIN SQUARE TO CRADDOCK AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. George VonderLippe stated Emmie Craddock had distinguished service to this City, and it would be very appropriate to name a street in her honor. She would be proud of the landscaping that has been done, and Mr. VonderLippe thinks this will be a first class street. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing. Mr. Moseley moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF GUILFORD AVENUE ADJACENT TO THE 1300 BLOCK OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE TO SADLER DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing. Mr. Moseley moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
