Regular Meeting May 14, 2001 Page 3 Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE 5, PDD PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, OF CHAPTER 94, DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, OF THE CITY CODE TO UPDATE AND SIMPLIFY CITY REGULATIONS FOR PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, READOPTING AND CONTINUING ARTICLE 3, CURFEW, OF CHAPTER 54, MISCELLANEOUS OFFENSES, OF THE CITY CODE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE LAW; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing. Mr. Moseley moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE 2000-2001 BUDGET TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR UPDATING CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Moseley moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 2000-2001 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIBRARY MATERIALS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Moseley moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
