Mayor Chiu moved to amend the Resolution to designate Jane Hughson as the Voting Delegate and Paul Mayhew as the Alternate Voting Delegate and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held August 20, 2001, approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 27, 2001, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, adoption of four Ordinances on third and final reading, and adoption of two Resolutions on consensus. The Council removed Item 23, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, and Item 28, adoption of a Resolution, to be considered separately. Ms. Tatum moved for approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held August 20, 2001, approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 27, 2001, approval of the Ordinance on second reading, adoption of the remaining three Ordinances on third and final reading, and adoption of the remaining Resolution by consensus and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of these Ordinances and Resolution read as follows: Approval of Ordinance on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INCREASING THE RATE FOR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 2000-2001 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR HEART DEFIBRILLATORS AND A FIREFIGHTER STATUE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE TO RETIRE THE ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD; AMENDING CHAPTER 46 OF THE CITY CODE TO REMOVE FAIR HOUSING MATTERS FROM THE PURVIEW OF THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION; MAKING OTHER CONFORMING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY CODE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS.
