<br />222. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />September 10, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Mihalkanin <br />seconded the motion. Mayor Chiu moved to amend the Resolution to <br />designate Jane Hughson as the Voting Delegate and Paul Mayhew as the <br />Alternate Voting Delegate and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Special <br />Meeting held August 20, 2001, approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />held August 27, 2001, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, <br />adoption of four Ordinances on third and final reading, and adoption of <br />two Resolutions on consensus. The Council removed Item 23, adoption of an <br />Ordinance on third and final reading, and Item 28, adoption of a <br />Resolution, to be considered separately. Ms. Tatum moved for approval of <br />the minutes of the Special Meeting held August 20, 2001, approval of the <br />minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 27, 2001, approval of the <br />Ordinance on second reading, adoption of the remaining three Ordinances on <br />third and final reading, and adoption of the remaining Resolution by <br />consensus and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The captions of these Ordinances and Resolution read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinance on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />INCREASING THE RATE FOR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF RESIDENTIAL SOLID <br />WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 2000-2001 FISCAL YEAR TO <br />PROVIDE FUNDING FOR HEART DEFIBRILLATORS AND A FIREFIGHTER STATUE; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE TO RETIRE THE ELECTRIC UTILITY <br />BOARD; AMENDING CHAPTER 46 OF THE CITY CODE TO REMOVE FAIR HOUSING <br />MATTERS FROM THE PURVIEW OF THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION; MAKING <br />OTHER CONFORMING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY CODE; AND INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE 2000-2001 BUDGET TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE HAYS COUNTY <br />APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Adoption of Resolution: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN EXTENSION OF THE CITY'S WATER AND WASTEWATER SYSTEMS TO <br />SERVE THE PROPOSED EL CAMINO REAL DEVELOPMENT AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />
